BMJ opens 2023 campaign with Lucas Oil at All-Tech

With persistent rain washing out Friday’s opener, Billy Moyer Jr. kicked off his 2023 season on Saturday afternoon at All-Tech Raceway (Lake City, Fla.) for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) sanctioned Winter Nationals.

Drawing 44 Late Models to the 4/10-mile oval, Moyer dropped three spots in his heat race to finish seventh, relegating him into one of three consolation races. Needing to place third or better to make the $15,000-to-win A-Main, Billy’s seventh-place finish brought an early end to his night.
