With $5,000 on the line, Billy clawed forward one position in the 40-lapper to finish third. He trailed Bobby Pierce and Devin Moran to the checkers.
With a third-place finish in his heat race on Thursday at Shadyhill Speedway (Medaryville, Ind.) placing him on the sixth row for the feature, Moyer Jr. gained six positions in the 40-lap affair to register a sixth-place finish.
With Mother Nature raining out Farmer City Raceway’s second attempt to host the DIRTcar Summer Nationals on Friday, Moyer Jr. headed north to Oakshade Raceway (Wauseon, Ohio) on Saturday for the annual Birthday Race. He was credited with a 14th-place finish in the feature after pulling off on lap 20.
Wet weather axed Sunday’s contest at Wayne County Speedway (Orrville, Ohio).
