Podium finish with Iron-Man Series at Ponderosa

On Friday afternoon, Billy Moyer Jr. invaded Ponderosa Speedway (Junction City, Ky.) to pilot his Mesilla Valley Transportation No. 21jr Late Model for the Valvoline Iron-Man Southern Series-sanctioned Fall Classic. With qualifying results placing him on the front row for the $5,000-to-win A-Main, Billy paced the field for the first 30 circuits until Jared Hawkins snuck by. The following night at 411 Motor Speedway (Seymour, Tenn.) for the Tennessee State Championship, Moyer Jr. timed in 13th-fastest in time trials, which positioned him 13th on the starting grid for the $5,000-to-win A-Main. Pulling off in the first half of the race, Billy was an early retiree on the 12th circuit.
