Podium finish in Ronny Adams Memorial opener

Friday night found Billy Moyer Jr. in action at Boothill Speedway (Greenwood, Louisiana) for the two-day Ronny Adams Memorial. In a field of 39 Comp Cams Super Dirt Series entries, Billy laid down the 11th fastest lap in his time trial group before placing second in his heat behind Jesse Stovall. Starting the $3,000-to-win A-Main in fifth, Moyer Jr. improved two spots in the 30-lap affair to register a third-place finish behind Tyler Erb and Stovall with Timothy Culp and Neil Baggett rounding out the Top-5. On Saturday evening for the $7,000 top prize, Moyer Jr. came in second fastest in his qualifying group behind Tyler Erb before capturing a 10-lap heat race victory. Starting the feature in fourth, Billy suffered a busted power steering line while battling for a podium spot that forced him to retire early with eight laps remaining. He was credited with a 15th place outing.
