Moyer Jr. follows LOLMDS to Cherokee and Smoky Mtn.

On Friday night Billy Moyer Jr. returned with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) at Cherokee Speedway (Gaffney, S.C.) for the 22nd annual Grassy Smith Memorial. Grabbing the fourth and final transfer spot in his heat race, Moyer Jr. locked into the 16th-starting position for the opening night feature. For the second round of the LOLMDS doubleheader on Saturday at Smoky Mountain Speedway (Maryville, Tenn.), Billy posted a fourth place finish in his heat, which positioned him 16th on the starting grid for the Mountain Moonshine Classic A-Main. With $15,000 on the line, Moyer Jr. jumped up one spot in the 60-lapper to place 15th.

Billy remains in ninth in the latest LOLMDS point standings.
