Moyer Jr. races to third-place finish at PRP

Taking part in the Fourth of July weekend doubleheader, Billy Moyer Jr. headed to Muskingum County Speedway (Zanesville, Ohio) on Friday night for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) sanctioned contest. Drawing 33 cars, Moyer Jr. clawed forward two positions in his heat to place second behind Jonathan Davenport. The following night at Portsmouth Raceway Park (Portsmouth, Ohio) for the Independence 50, Billy timed in second fastest in his group behind Jimmy Owens before picking up a 10-lap heat race victory. With $12,000 on the line in the feature, Moyer Jr. improved one spot in the 50-lapper to place third behind Jimmy Owens and Jonathan Davenport with Kyle Bronson and Tim McCreadie rounding out the Top-5.

Billy remains in ninth in the latest LOLMDS point standings.
